Required Supplies

Do you have all your supplies? Use this checklist to be sure you're not missing anything you'll need!

1. Tags You'll need 25 white or manila shipping tags with string or wire ties - I replaced my ties with baker's twine!
2. Paper You'll need a variety of paper - for printing numbers on and to layer behind your numbers. You can choose whatever colors and textures make your heart happy!
3. Tools Gather all of your basic crafting tools - glue sticks, scissors, single hole punch, paper cutter, ruler, glue gun, thumb tacks, and printer. You'll also need a drill with a 1/4" bit or a sharp pencil and some arm power ;)
4. Embellishments You can layer and embellish your tags as much as you want! I hung mini Christmas tree ornaments (jingle bells, frosted candy canes, and snowflakes) from the bottoms of my tags, and then embellished them using vintage buttons, the Advent stamp set from the BPC shop, washi tape and paper shapes like stars and circles.
5. Ribbons and Strings You'll need a small selection of ribbon and string for your calendar. You'll need a total of three yards to hang your garland on and another larger, heavier ribbon to hang your faux chalkboard.You can also use baker's twine to hang your tags if you'd like!
6. Faux Chalkboard For this part of the project, you'll need a black foam or cardboard project board, a white chalkboard marker, a drill with a 1" bit (or the sharp pencil and arm power!), a yard stick and eight thumbtacks.
