Required Supplies
Do you have all your supplies? Use this checklist to be sure you're not missing anything you'll need!
-
Children's Book Look for a hardcover book with pages that are sewn in (not glued), and at least one-inch thick. You’ll be tearing out at least half of the pages to allow for photos and bulky embellishments. Lesson 1 includes more information on selecting a book.
-
Adhesive, washi tape and/or sewing machine You’ll need something for binding several book pages together to make them thick enough to hold photos and bulky embellishments.
-
Patterned paper, embellishments and alpha/number stickers This is a great opportunity to use items from your stash, too!
-
Flip-up page protectors Size 4x4 works well for holding both photos and journaling.
-
Journaling notes Any notes that could be helpful in writing a baby’s first year story, such as milestones, personality traits, likes and dislikes.
-
Baby photos and momentos Once the story is written, you’ll be selecting and printing photos to accompany the story, as well as adding a few mementos.
