Principle Power
Symmetrical Balance
I attempted to scraplift Meghann's page in the lesson. It took me forever and I was frustrated with trying to figure out where to put things, but I love the end result. I'm sure all these principles will become easier once I practice.
As a side note, this page was made for my La Boheme (Opera) album, about our stage manager that everyone hated. There was one night where he was really mean and while I didn't want to leave that story out of the album, I wasn't sure I wanted to retell it in full. So I wrote a list style journaling with every sentence starting with the word, "yep". I included a photo of my friend and I at rehearsal that night (we were making fun of another friend who was taking duck face selfies). I like how the page turned out...it brings a bit of a humorous side to the not-so-fun story. Anyway, just had to share that bit. ;)

I love that you included the "not so great" story in a more humorous way... That's a great idea!

I am glad I'm not the only one who took forever with this page design! I like that you were able to laugh and poke fun at something not fun to deal with.

@Davean said it perfectly- what an awesome way to go back and document a "not so great" story in reflection and take a humorous spin on it. Great idea. The balance is perfect, too. You even went as far as to balance the pattern in those thin strips of paper on either side of the layout! Well done! I think that the more you utilize this type of balance, the more it will come natural to you. You sure made it look like it came naturally to you with this layout!
Thank you so much @meghannandrew! Your feedback means the world to me. Ha, well this layout took me a long time but hopefully you are right...it will come more naturally the more I do it. :)
