Hot Summer Drive

I loved this design, but whenever I see radiating strips, I always think sun! So I went with hot sun colors to tell the story of the looong, hot drive between San Diego and the Grand Canyon. We had never been in a desert before, and let's just say reading or seeing pictures is not at ALL like experiencing. Especially since our GPS took us along these winding one lane roads in the middle of the desert where we didn't see cars (or a gas station) for hours. It was pretty terrifying, actually, especially when we could feel the heat radiating in through the windshield, even with the air conditioning blasting! Which is why I made the page funny - scary things always seem funny in the rear view mirror!
