Happy Little Moments

There is nothing more priceless than a beautiful book of precious photos.  You can walk down memory lane just by flipping through the pages and seeing the pictures.  Today, Maggie Holmes is here with us to share her love for mini albums and her Happy Little Moments class!  

I've always had a deep love for mini albums! There's something about creating a smaller little album that can be kept out on display or in a place that is easier for my kids to access. We just love pulling them out and flipping through them! I also especially love the extra element of creativity that comes with creating a mini album. The sky is truly the limit when it comes to size, shape, dimension etc! And even once I determine a size for a mini book, I typically will create different sized pages to go inside. I can't get enough of the eclectic feel and variety it adds when you have different sizes and also things sticking out from the edges!!

The Happy Little Moments workshops I taught at Studio Calico were definitely a favorite of mine and for the students as well! For a long time I would get emails almost daily asking about the Happy Little Moments class and if there was any way to get access to it. It always saddened me that it wasn't still available, UNTIL NOW!!! I was beyond excited to convert this class over to Big Picture Classes and thrilled that I am now able to reply to the emails and say YES, you can still take the class!!

The format of this class and album is what I think is most exciting!! Using an old book as your album base is such a fun creativity exercise and I found so many possibilities for altering the pages and creating unique elements inside the album! Throughout the class I teach some of the fun ways I altered my album and also encourage you to explore other ideas and possibilities as well!! In the student gallery I am consistently in awe of the fun new things the students come up with!! And the exciting thing about an album like this is that you can take the concept and reuse it for other albums with different themes!! I just love that!!
