Required Supplies
Do you have all your supplies? Use this checklist to be sure you're not missing anything you'll need!
-
Watercolors I love using Peerless watercolors, Kuretake Tansai Gambi and artist grade watercolors, but any watercolors will do!
-
Brushes I usually use a large round brush (no. 10). It is also handy (but not essential) to have a large flat brush for wetting large areas. Also, we will use a spray bottle with water for one particular technique.
-
Paper You'll want something that can stand up to lots of water, like watercolor paper. However, some lighter papers handle watercolors nicely as well, so make sure you test your paper first.
-
Stamps You'll want stamps that have an outlined image for a couple of the techniques we will be learning. I love florals, and Mama Elephant's set Lovely Mum or Altenew's Magnolia's For Her are perfect, but any similar stamp would work.
-
Stencils For one lesson in the class, we will be using a stencil. For this particular technique, a large image with open spaces works best. I love The Crafter's Workshop's large feathers stencil for this purpose, but any similar stencil would work.

Patterned Paper & Embellishments Once the background is done, we will finish our layout with pretty papers and embellishments.
