I had already gessoed my background in preparation for this class LOL, so I just went with it. I do like the outcome of the background although the watercolour did not flow quite as much as if I had used watercolour paper. Then I used just strip of scraps on my desk in colours that coordinated. But when I finished adhering all the strips, oh my was it loud and way too busy. So, I used watered down acrylic paint and white washed the whole area. At first, I was really not sure about this layout but it has grown on me!!! Thanks for a great lesson Irit

Thanks so much @Davean. She is a very pretty cat but she is the least sociable of the 3 ... she doesn't really like the other 2 and humans are meant to serve her LOL :)
LOL @moreilly! My mom has a cat like that. She has to keep one of the others away from her. :-)
