Required Supplies
Do you have all your supplies? Use this checklist to be sure you're not missing anything you'll need!
-
Watercolors That is not limited to traditional types of watercolors. Any product that is water-soluble and can behave in a similar way can be used in all the techniques in this class. Some examples are dye-based watercolor powders, inks and re-inkers and markers.
-
Paper You can grab some inexpensive sheets of watercolor paper to exercise throughout the class.
-
Paintbrushes Any type of watercolor paintbrush will work. The more water it can hold the better. You may need a finer brush for some lessons. Also a waterbrush can be extremely useful.
-
Texture Tools Stencils, palette knives, a paint comb, a hair brush, thread, a sponge brush, sticks and a brayer.
-
Water Two jars of water are always a good companion for watercolor painting, one to rinse the brushes and one to lead them with clean water.
-
Cloth or Paper Towel To control the water level of your paintbrushes.
