Required Supplies
Do you have all your supplies? Use this checklist to be sure you're not missing anything you'll need!
-
Cardstock Smooth white cardstock is the perfect base for your all of your holiday projects.
-
Patterned paper and holiday embellishments (die cuts, chipboard shapes, enamel dots) The new SevenPaper Felix collection adds the right touch of festive and trendy to your projects but feel free to reach in your stash to recreate the projects.
-
Liquitex Modeling Paste Modeling paste is a medium even beginners can use successfully on their projects. It adds dimension to your cards and tags and the clean white color is nice to recreate a "snow" pattern.
-
Ink Fast drying dye-inks in vibrant colors are ideal for assembly line style mass production.
-
Acrylic block or stamp press with grid pattern The grid will make it super easy for you to accurately align stamped images which is especially important with clean & easy style cardmaking.
-
The Essential Glue Pad You can experiment with water-soluble glue instead but this specialty ink will give you some fun and easy options to add glitter to your stamped images without ruining your stamp sets.
-
Holiday Stamps I used the two class stamp sets since they work particularly well for cards and tags, our class topic, and even mixed together on the same projects.
-
Glitter Loose glitter is the most versatile but I’ll also use glitter glue and tinsel. Whatever you have on hand, tis the season to bring it out.
-
Double sided glue tape and liquid glue Just the double sided tape will work great but for some projects the liquid glue is helpful, e.g., to secretly adhere acetate shapes.
-
Paper trimmer and scoring board These are the essentials for all my card making to achieve clean cuts and folds and sometimes even to add an interesting "angle" to a project.
-
Baker's Twine and/or Satin Ribbon Basically any kind of twine or ribbon will work but I’d recommend these two for they don’t add to much bulk to your mailings.
