Principle Power
When You Were Little
Here is my page for contrast. Using color: I stuck with those opposite to the color wheel, which I never would have probably done were it not for this class. I love golds, pinks, but would have probably missed the chance of my daughter's green shirt to use as a design principle if I was sitting in my craft room alone with this photo.
Using size: the photo...love a great enlargement! I love to rotate framed photos in my home and was happy to add this one to my scrapbooking pile! I hope I hid some extra contrast with my word, "little" in my title, which I did to signify its meaning, literally and figuratively.
Finally, using fonts: I love, love, love fonts! I love longer titles to be able to use a few!

This is just perfect, @StephinCanada ! First, the contrasting color scheme- and YES to using cues from your photo to choose one of the main colors! (Your daughter is adorable, BTW!) You balanced that BIG photo so well with your title, the ledger paper and journaling on the side- really well done. And your title? Fantastic. It's so fun to mix fonts, yes!?
Thank you so much!!! Admittedly, the color scheme felt weird at first, but then sticking with the principles, and it all came together! Absolutely beyond crazy that photo was taken almost 8 years ago! I realize I love big photos! YES to font mixing any day!!
