Required Supplies
Do you have all your supplies? Use this checklist to be sure you're not missing anything you'll need!
-
Gelli Plate This is your main tool to create all sorts of beautiful prints. If you don't own a plate, you can read about alternatives in the class.
-
Acrylic Paints Any paint can work perfectly. It doesn't matter how cheap or expensive.
-
Brayer To evenly apply the paint on the gelli plate.
-
Sheets of Paper (many!) You need many sheets of paper as we will create a lot of prints. Also some spare sheets will be useful to clean up your brayer between colors. Most of the times I use cheap printer paper or tissue paper. This makes it easy to reuse the prints as collage paper. For the watercolor lessons, I recommend using better quality paper. Watercolor, mixed media or some heavy sketch paper will work great.
-
Stencils To create interest on our prints.
-
Watercolors, Inks & Re-Inkers To create some magical prints in our later lessons.
-
Baby Wipes To clean your plate between prints as needed.
-
Rubber Gloves (Optional) To avoid getting your fingers stained.
-
Craft Mat (Optional) To avoid spilling paint on your worksurface.
