Our Kind of Town
A layout documenting what my family liked about our stop in Chicago on our cross country road trip. I scrap 12x12, so I added some borders and embellishments to bring the layout up to size.
The green and gold words may look like they don't belong, but I can't POSSIBLY scrap a layout about Chicago (ugh) in blue and orange (double ugh) without representing for the Pack, at least a little! (Actually, I was just thinking summery, but the rest of the embellishments ended up tending blue and orange. Still, that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it!)
I used the stamp and water color technique to create the speech bubble in the center of the layout. The rest of the words were traced and water colored because I don't have stamps that just make the outline of a word.

I like the layout. Not knowing much about Chicago, I don't understand your issue with the colors. I think it turned out great!
Oh, sorry! I forget sometimes that fans speak in our own language, lol. My son and I are Green Bay Packers fans. The Chicago Bears are our hated rivals. We wear green and gold, they wear blue and orange. I didn't intend the layout to have Bears colors when I started it, it just turned out that way, so I was happy I had snuck in a little of my team's colors, if only by accident. We actually do like Chicago the city, just not the Chicago team!

I like that you included each person's "Likes." I get the color issue as I am a Packer Backer too. Surprised that you're not Steelers fans!
