Required Supplies

Do you have all your supplies? Use this checklist to be sure you're not missing anything you'll need!

1. Aida Cloth- Size 14 This is the fabric on which you will create your characters.
2. Embroidery Floss You will likely use around 10 different colors, depending on how many characters you create.
3. Needle For size 14 Aida cloth, you will need a size 5 embroidery needle or a size 24 Tapestry needle.
4. Scissors The sharper the better as it will make your floss easier to feed through the eye of your needle if it's cut cleanly.
5. Storage (optional) You may want to wrap your embroidery floss around floss bobbins and store them in a container where you can see all your colors easily. You may also want to have a storage container to carry your project around with you so that you can work on it wherever you go. I suggest a small Sterilite container that would hold your fabric, floss, needle and scissors.
6. Microsoft Excel (optional) I create my patterns in Microsoft Excel 2013 but you may use a different version or draw them using graph paper which I have provided as a download.
7. Graph Paper (Included as download) + Colored Pencils This is an alternative to creating your characters in Excel.
