Winner, Winner, Sticker... Hoarder
Okay I'll admit it. I am that person Carson talked about who still has stickers from when she was 10 but in my defense I will say they are very specific to the town I lived in and some specific childhood stories I want to tell (which are duly noted on the back of the stickers) so I'm keeping them. That being said even after the purge I still have three binders of stickers. What can I say stickers and ephemera are my jam. These two are the things I use on every.single.layout. My sticker purge ended with three different piles. Used sticker sheets to throw out (why were they even still in there??), Stickers to giveaway (to a fellow crafty friend, church & some for the kids which were promptly stuck on anything within the available vicinity - art projects, furniture, inhabitants of the house...), and then a set of stickers I either have to use or loose. If they've not been put to good use within six months they too will be moved on to new homes.
While I do have a collection of ephemera that is designated for giveaway purposes only about a handful of it is actually from this round of purging. I'm in the habit of removing any die-cuts that aren't my style or I'm unlikely to use every time I get a new pack and then they get added to happy mail. What I did do however was give my ephemera packs a complete overhaul using a method I saw in the stamping portion of Craft Room Rehab from Rianne Alonte. I loved her method of using Avery Elle pockets and then adding washi and labels to help her identify them. I had already thought Avery Elle pockets would be a better way to store my ephemera but I haven't got around to ordering any yet so I just used some ziplock bags I had on hand for the moment to get the ball rolling. It already looks and works so much better. I love it!
