Hey there! This is Lisa Day with Big Picture Classes! I want to tell you a little bit about the next class I’ve been working on, Journey to Happiness – What Matters Most.
The first workshop I taught years ago at Big Picture was titled Journey to Perpetual Happiness. I love that we can use the creative process of scrapbooking to grow, discover and find balance in order to live a happier life. When I’m working on something in my life, I usually work though it by expressing myself on paper and through being creative. I’m excited to bring you the next leg of the happiness journey with a class that focuses on what matters most.
The topic of What Matters Most is something that was harder to wrap my mind around than I had originally thought it would be. The concept is relatively simple to think about. But actually being able to live it is a whole other matter. I created this class to help myself and you clear a path in our lives so we can truly be able to focus on what matters most. It won’t be easy. You will have to learn to let go of some thing’s you’ve been holding on to. Things like old beliefs, social expectations, self imposed responsibilities, etc. We will need to be able to embrace what matters to each of us. These things are going to be different for all of us and they will constantly be changing. What matters to me is going to be different than what matters to my spouse, or to my co-worker who’s fighting cancer, or a friend who is a recent empty nester, or to you!
In this class you will make two layouts and two mini albums that will help you get a clearer understanding of what matters most in your life now. You will work to uncover barriers that are getting in the way of your top priorities and make creative action plans for clearing the path so you will be able to focus on what matters most.
The beginning of a new year is the perfect time to step back and take a look at our lives and see where we can make changes to be able to live a happier life! This is the perfect time to have a fresh and renewed focus on our lives. This will be different than making resolutions that are hard to stick with. This will be creating a better life. A life created around the things that truly matter to you.
