This
is May Flaum for Big Picture Scrapbooking. Hey there,
and thanks for clicking on my promo audio for Adventures
in Scrapbooking: Use Your Stash.
Now
this is my third Adventures in Scrapbooking class. You
know what, I love that this is the topic that we are exploring.
I don't know about you, but I have some chipboard, I have
some stickers, shoot, I have some product in my studio
that has been here before I had children. There are a
few things that were here before I was even married! So
I've got some old stuff in here and I want to get that
used, but likewise, I don't want to be paralyzed when
I get something new and wonderful and just stare at it
and wait for the perfect project
no, I want to get
it used! I want to make the most of what I've got and
just get my stories scrapbooked
get my 4" x
6" photos out, pull out my 12" x 12" cardstock
and patterned paper and just go, just do things, have
fun
and that's what you're going to find in this
class.
Not
only am I going to share my layouts, I'm also going to
encourage you and share ideas about how to pull your stuff
together, how to get the most out of supplies, how to
do substitutions, how to make things work for you, how
to keep things simple and, by the way, simple is so not
the same as boring. Simple is a lot of fun. You know what,
just get creative and have fun using your stash, whatever
that might be. I don't just mean supplies either. It could
be if you've printed out tons of vacation photos or tons
of photos period and you want to get some stuff done.
Every week we're going to have a two-page multi-photo
sketch that gets e-mailed to you in addition to the handout.
As I'm making my notes and as I'm building this class,
I already have too much good stuff so I'm going to be
doing bonus handouts. There are going to be Skype hours
which is the chance for you to one-on-one video chat with
me which is a lot of fun, and it's free if you've got
the internet, you can just hook yourself up to Skype and
we can talk and I can help you. Of course we've also got
the message board and the galleries, and the handouts.
There will be presentations. There is going to be an online
social which is kind of an online crop that I will have
some prizes for. We are just going to have all kinds of
big fun. I'm really looking forward to what you all do
with your stash, how you inspire yourself, how you are
inspiring to others, to me. This is going to be a lot
of big fun. I really hope you join me.
