This
is May Flaum from Big Picture Scrapbooking.
I have been scrapbooking for many years, and the one thing
that I have seen as a constant in this ever changing hobby
is seasonal scrapbooking: birthdays, holidays, and special
events that only happen once a year. Things that you scrapbook
already and that deserve special attention, and some things
you probably haven't thought about scrapbooking yet but
deserve pages and spots in your albums.
This
class is packed with layouts, BIG tips, and so much more.
There are a total of fourteen handouts during this eight
week class. A lot, I know! To share a bit more about this
class, here are my top five reasons you want to sign up:
1.
Ideas that will last. The handouts are full with topic
ideas, sketches, layouts, color suggestions, and more.
Ideas that you can easily use in class and way beyond.
2.
Teacher interaction. I do everything possible to be on
the board, commenting in the gallery, answering e-mails,
and chatting with you to help make this class the best
possible experience. I so enjoy teaching with Big Picture,
and I do everything I can to enhance your class experience
as well.
3.
The freedom to use your stash. I encourage you to make
the most of supplies you have on hand. While I will work
with some stamps, inks, paints, stitching, and other supplies
that you might not have, you do not have to buy anything
specific to take part in class. In fact, every single
page can be created (based on sketch) with any supplies
you have on hand.
4.
On-line socials. Two different weekends I will be hosting
chats, challenges, and so much more in our classroom.
It's going to be so fun. In case you're wondering what
exactly an on-line social is let me explain. When I go
to a scrapbooking crop my favorite part is that I get
to connect with other people. Share stories, ideas, chat,
have fun, and maybe even win a prize. That is the heart
of an on-line social. Whether you can only pop in for
a few minutes or socialize for much longer, it's going
to be BIG fun.
I am really excited about this: it will be my first class
to include this feature.
5.
Every layout I create for this class is for real. I didn't
make up any stories or invent photo shoots. No, it's about
me and my family, created with photos (mostly 4"
x 6"), and will be placed in one of my albums. This
means the ideas I share are very user friendly, and you
can see what I do with the less than perfect photos, when
I didn't have photos, older pictures, and so much more.
If
you are like me, you want to get a jump start on your
scrapbooking for 2009. I am sharing so many ideas that
go way beyond holidays and the actual seasons, and just
looking over the layouts I have made so far for this class
makes me smile. A pumpkin spice latte, childhood camping
trips, and our annual Christmas breakfast are just a few
layouts on my desk right now, just waiting to be shared
with you.
Would
you like a bonus reason? Well I can't give that away entirely
just yet. I will simply tell you that there is a growing
pile of very special scrapbook supplies sitting here waiting
for class to start so they can find their way to new homes.
When this class starts, the real fun begins and I hope
to see you there!
