Hi
there, this is Tracey Clark, and I am so excited that
you are considering Picture Winter.
What
is Picture Winter? Well, it's actually the fifth
class I've taught here at Big Picture Classes in this
picture series that I'm doing which are 30-day email classes.
We have a community at the Big Picture Classes site so
you can participate in that, but your lessons every day,
your prompts, will come in an email, which is fantastic
and you can receive those at your whim and get those and
work on the prompt throughout the day, and then you can
pop into the classroom whenever you are ready to upload
your photo or chit chat with people on the message board.
It's a really great community and the prompts will help
you see your daily life in a new light.
I'm
really excited about Picture Winter in particular
because it begins on January 1. This is really exciting
because I feel like beginning a new year with 30 days
of photography is a great way to start and a super way
to commit to carving some time out for yourself and just
to see the world differently and appreciate your everyday
life. So, the fact that we're starting on January 1 makes
it extra special.
The
other thing that is super fun about Picture Winter
is, I live in Southern California so we don't get
much of a winter, obviously, and a lot of you will be
knee deep in snow. What I've decided to do is to invite
a few guest photographers to share a few prompts with
us this month which I've never done before in any of the
classes, so it's going to be really great and fun to get
a new look and a new perspective from other people, so
I'm eager about that. I'm just really grateful to have
you along for this ride. It's going to be a great journey
to start 2011, and I look forward to it. I'll be counting
down the days and I hope to see you there. I think Picture
Winter is going to be BIG! See you soon.
