Hello
there! This is Donna for Big Picture Scrapbooking and
I can't wait to share my brand new class with you.
The Mirror Project, Seeing the Beauty Within,
offers a fun and creative way to send a powerful and important
message to our girls as they grow into young ladies. Whether
you are raising a daughter or even have a granddaughter
or niece in your life, you can make a big different in
influencing the way she sees herself.
I
am the mom of a new teenaged daughter who just turned
13 a couple of months ago. I am witnessing so many changes
take place right before my eyes that I can hardly believe
it. In this transition, I wanted her to have a tangible
way to keep close all of the lessons I have been teaching
her along the way about the stuff within that makes her
the beautiful young lady she is becoming. I want her to
grow up not needing to hear how beautiful she is from
others to feel good about herself, but really feeling
it all on her own and understanding her power in making
herself the beautiful person she wants to be, and that
lipstick and hairspray alone don't do the trick, it's
the confidence, truth and heart that she sees in the mirror
- this is what illuminates the world and makes it a better
place, and this is why I created The Mirror Project.
In
essence, The Mirror Project is an inspirational
handbook that will teach our girls what real beauty is
and teach them to see it every time they look in the mirror,
and it's never too early to start. I gave her the book
I made for her about one week ago now and every day since
then she has come to me with it in her hands and has told
me how much she loves it, asking me which picture is my
favorite and reading it over and over again, and that's
really good stuff.
In
our classroom, you will also find a super fun bonus project
that becomes a companion to your handbook that I just
love, and you will also find a page of inspirational resources
for and about girls. I hope you will join me for some
creative playtime and sending this empowering message
out into the world one little girl at a time, because
this is really big!
