Hey
guys, this is Lisa Day for Big Picture Scrapbooking. I
thought I'd take this time to tell you a little bit about
the inspiration behind why I created this class!
Recently
I was talking with my little sister Staci about our childhood.
We were talking about our favorite childhood memories
of growing up together and as we talked about these she
brought up stories that I didn't remember and some that
I remembered very differently than she did! This got me
to thinking. How many other things do we remember differently?
How many memories does she have that I had totally forgotten
about? And then, how many different relationships do I
have where this is true?
After
one conversation with her I thought to myself why am I
not recording some of these stories? And why when I do
record them are they only from my side? It would be so
much more rewarding if I could hear both sides of the
story together, instead of just my version of it, and
in turn be able to get a more in-depth look at our relationship.
I wondered how much more of our relationship could be
uncovered by if we told our stories together?
So
I decided...hey, I'm a scrapbooker...wouldn't it be fun
to create a mini album that I could use to capture our
stories and get both sides of the relationship. This has
probably been one of my most favorite projects I have
ever done and I am so excited to be offering it to you
as Self Paced project class.
In this class, I will walk you through creating a mini
album that you can use to gather stories from both sides.
I have some questions you can ask to get the memories
and stories flowing! I created three mini albums that
celebrate different relationship, which I share with you
in the class. The three I created were one between my
husband and I, which was funny because we had so many
similar answers! I did one between me and my little sister
and got to find out things that I didn't know she thought
about our relationship. And I also created an album for
my parents that captured their story where I learned things
I didn't know about their relationship and they got to
find out how each other felt about things. I could have
done this for probably every relationship I have and even
captured more than two sides to the story! It is such
a cool process and putting it all together in a mini album
so we could keep these stories preserved was a lot of
fun.
I hope you join me in this class and find out how rewarding
it is to reminisce with a loved one and capture both sides
of your relationship! This is BIG!
