Hi
everybody. This is Lain for Big Picture Scrapbooking.
Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about
my Christmas Letters class.
As
we move into the holiday season, it seems that the to-do
lists get longer and longer and the time in which to
complete the items gets shorter and shorter. So as I
was brainstorming topics for this class, I came up with
a solution for you. I thought about my own holiday to-do
list and some of the items that seemed to either get
pushed off until the very end or that seemed to kind
of fall between the cracks, and then at the last minute
I'm scrambling to try to put something together, and
my Christmas letter is at the top of that list, unfortunately.
You would think that being a writer, and a humor writer
at that, that it would be simple for me to sit down
and pound those out. You know what, it is easy to do
that if I am not under pressure, but when I'm trying
to do them on December 20 or even December 23, as I
have been known to do, there is a lot of pressure and
it's not so much fun anymore. So what I thought is that
I would put together a class for Big Picture Scrapbooking
that would be a Projects Now class that would lead my
students through the creation of their holiday letter.
We would do it in the month of November so there would
be plenty of time for you to work on it before the Holiday
storm starts. In this class I will give you all the
little tips and tricks that I use when creating my holiday
letters. I have been lucky enough to have come up with
some good ideas in the past, and I am happy to share
those with you.
So,
in this class, we won't be doing a project, per se.
We won't all be creating the same scrapbook or the same
page or the same letter. Your family is unique, and
your holiday letter should be too. So what I will be
doing is leading you through a series of exercises,
some brainstorming, some creativity exercises, some
thinking about your own family, and then helping you
build a letter that capitalizes on the unique attributes
of your family. So it's going to be a little bit different
than a typical Projects Now workshop, but it is going
to be a lot of fun and very useful as well.
I
hope to see you in class. If you have any questions
you can always contact me. All my contact information
is on the Big Picture Scrapbooking teacher site, so
feel free to ship me an e-mail if you have any questions,
and I look forward to seeing you at the Big Picture
Scrapbooking site. Talk to you soon. Happy Holidays!
