Hi
everyone! This is Elisha Snow with Big Picture Scrapbooking,
and I am beyond thrilled to have the chance to teach
you how to take better photos. I've had so many people
tell me, "My photos will never be as good as yours
because I don't have a fancy camera like yours."
It's no secret that a good quality, high-end camera
is going to make a difference in the quality of your
photos. But any professional photographer will tell
you that art in photography comes through basic composition
and understanding of light FIRST. And those concepts
are the root of good photography, no matter what kind
of camera you own.
I
often tell people that when I look through my camera,
I can see the soul of my subject, whether it be a person,
place or thing. I can't quite describe the feeling,
except that it's like I'm entering a whole new world
and the objects around me take on a new life. I love
to see how natural sunlight changes throughout the day,
and how shadows fall across faces to create depth and
mood. It's exciting, and if you haven't already noticed
I'm really passionate about it.
And
I'm passionate about teaching it. I want you to know
what I know. I want to answer your questions and help
you along the way. I want you to be able to snap a photo,
have it developed, and say, "Wow. I took that photo
and it is going in a huge frame on my wall." I've
been there. I've felt that. And you know what? It's
exciting.
I
can't wait to see you in class!
