Hey
there! Put down those pots and pans and step away from
the spice rack! Yes, you!
This
is Tami Morrison for Big Picture Scrapbooking, and I'm
about to give you an excuse to get takeout! Yes, you
heard me correctly, go ahead, dial up your favorite
Chinese restaurant, place an order, just don't forget
the fortune cookies and the chopsticks because you are
going to need them for this super fun Projects Now class.
Now,
if you are anything like me, the best part about eating
Chinese food is, let's face it, the fortune cookie.
When I crack open that cookie at the end of the meal,
I'm always hoping to find some relevant little tidbit
or some pieces of advice that I can interpret to fit
my own life. Have you ever gotten one that was so dead-on
that you wondered if there was a fortune cookie baker
spying on you? Well, what about the ones that you just
really hope will come true. Don't you wish you had a
place to keep them all? I will admit, I'm a fortune
cookie pack rat, it's true. If a fortune strikes a cord
with me, I feel the need to pin it on my bulletin board
or stick it on my fridge. I've also been known to stick
them in drawers, purse pockets, pants pockets, you get
the idea. The problem was that they were all over the
place. I would keep coming across them thinking I've
got to do something with these, so I finally did. I
created a really fun little mini book that's quick and
easy to make and gives all those little wayward fortunes
a happy home.
In
this class, I will guide you step-by-step through making
your own fortune keeper where you can display your favorites
and even record your reflections and predictions about
them. As a bonus, I will show you my favorite fortune
I've ever gotten, and trust me, it's a good one! I will
also share some fun extras like how you can turn this
project into a fabulous gift that will score you some
big creativity points. So go sign up quick before your
chow mein gets cold. Cookies
