This
is May Flaum for Big Picture Scrapbooking, and I am
very excited to be sitting here recording this audio
to tell you about my Projects Now class that focuses
on two of my very favorite crafty things
card stock
and scrapbooking.
Sometimes
I think cardstock gets kind of like the "old maid"
reputation. It's there and it's plain and it's not exciting
like die cuts or glitter or flocked patterned paper,
right? Wrong! Cardstock is the ultimate in my crafting
area. Instead of thinking of it as plain, I consider
it a blank canvas for wonderful creativity to come.
You can cut it, sand it, pair it with other colors,
stamp it, rip it, and generally just make good things
happen. Yes, what was once my favorite product for budget
reasons has become my favorite for more creative reasons.
In
this Projects Now class, I will share a number of ideas
and techniques for scrapbooking with cardstock. There
is not a single piece of patterned paper or specialty
paper utilized in the whole class. In fact, some of
the layouts the supply lists are cardstock, pen and
then maybe a few tools. All of my layouts in this class
are multiple photo. Also, three of the eight layouts
in class are two-page layouts. So if you like two- page
layouts, I do have some of those in here.
Now,
if you are looking for some budget friendly page ideas,
if you want some inspiration to put more customization
into your page embellishments, if you need ideas on
utilizing cardstock or simply just want more layout
ideas, I think this is a Project Now class that you
would really enjoy. My classes are always designed so
that you can work with whatever you have in your stash.
You do not need to buy any one brand of cardstock or
any tools, you can very easily substitute out most anything.
And, of course, substitutions are welcome. I want you
to be able to take my ideas and make them your own.
These ideas can be utilized way beyond my examples,
put into use with your own style and flair.
I
hope that you will like this and sign up and enjoy this
new Projects Now class!
