This
is May Flaum for Big Picture Scrapbooking. Hi there, and
thank you for clicking on this audio file all about my
newest adventure and workshop here at Big Picture
and
it is an adventure. I know that's in the title, but it
really is for me, as well as you students,
You
know what? Just the other day I get a box in the mail.
I don't know about you, but I love scrapbook kits. Do
you love scrapbook kits? I like the cool little ones that
you can get at Target where it's a little 8 x 8 album
and it's got all the little papers and it's so cute. I
love the one at the craft store that has got embellishments
and matching papers. I like the kit clubs online that
you can shop with. Oh, I love digital scrapbooking kits.
They come in all shapes and sizes, little to big, and
I love them all. So when I get a box in the mail and it's
got a return address of a kit club, I get pretty excited.
What exactly is in it? How is it going to be? How am I
going to use it? And then I open it up. Ah, and here is
where our adventure really begins, because it's once you
get that kit home, once you pull it out and you mix it
up with your photos and your stories, that's where it
counts. Can you make it your own? Can you add to it? Can
you change it up? Do you know some ideas and techniques?
That's what we are covering here. And not just that, I
will be using a different pre-made kit as the base of
each main handout each week of class. I will also be making
my own kits and showing you how I do that. There will
also be audiovisual presentations to give you even more
information and learning in this class
more
more
more.
It is going to be quite a busy, exciting, fantastic six
weeks. I have to tell you, I've got it on my calendar.
I'm counting down. I am so ready for this!
Now,
if you haven't taken one of my classes before, then you
don't know
if you have, then you already do. I am
all about the jam-packed class. I am giving you lots of
big tips, budget ideas, product ideas, using up your stash
ideas, maximizing your kit, lots of ideas. Every week
there will be a two-page 12 x 12 sketch that you are welcome
to use. I will show a couple of samples of how I made
that sketch work. Of course, I will be showing the layouts
that I made with the kit of the week, and that's not even
starting in on the bonus materials. There is so much going
on in this class and it really is beyond class. During
the six weeks, of course, we will have our different focuses
and challenges and the message board and the gallery and
all that going on, but beyond class my handouts are designed
with durability and future use in them. I put information
and ideas in there that once you've downloaded them here
in class, they are yours to keep, they are yours to use.
You can continue using them as long as you like. So, even
if you are having a busy time right now and you're thinking
you're not totally sure you have enough time to devote
to it, I still would encourage you to consider coming
into class with us because you are going to utilize all
of that information beyond class
and, my e-mail doesn't
close. I answer questions after class. I answer questions
whenever you have a question. That's what I'm here for!
I am very big into teacher interaction and doing whatever
I can do to make this a wonderful class experience for
you.
Okay,
honestly, I could talk to you for an hour about this class
because I am so thrilled with how it is all coming together
and all of my visions are just getting bigger and better
and more exciting, and I keep adding more layouts, more
pre-class materials. There is a presentation on building
your own kits that you can go download right now if you
sign up for class
and so much more. But, I'm pretty
sure you have something else to do besides listening to
the never-ending audio file from May, so I'm going to
leave you with a list. This list is called - You Need
To Take My Class If
If you collect more kits than you use, this class will
get you using kits.
If
you just scrapbook and you want new ideas, maybe you are
new to scrapbooking, maybe you are feeling burnt out,
the lessons revolve around kits, but what are kits? Kits
are scrapbook supplies, so even if you are just looking
for layout ideas, you're going to find them.
If
you want to make your own kits, learn more about that,
or just getting more out of pre-made kits, I've got both
covered.
If
you've thought about buying from kit clubs but you're
not sure and you don't know if you would be able to use
it, I'm going to show you a bunch of stuff and you can
check it out and get a better of how that would work for
you.
If
you have a stash that needs to be used
hmm, I could
be talking to myself here
make your own kids and
play along. Substitutions are totally expected and welcome.
You don't need to use what I'm using to do these pages
and to do these projects. You can use whatever it is you
have on hand, because that's how I design it. I design
it with versatility in mind. As I said before, even if
you are not sure you can keep up, this is still a great
class to take because the handouts and everything are
yours forever and you can just keep on using them.
All
right, well thank you for taking the time to listen to
my audio. I do hope you're going to join me for this new
class. If you have any questions, if you want to see more
about me and what I do, you can visit my blog, you can
ship me an e-mail at mayf@bigpicturescrapbooking.com.
I'm happy to answer any questions or clarify anything
about class that you might want. Right now, I've got another
kit calling me to create, so I've gotta get back to that.
You have a big fantastic day!
