Hey
there everybody. This is Jenni Bowlin, and I can't tell
you how thrilled I am to have been asked to be a part
of Big Picture Classes 4Experts Series for 2011. I actually
taught this class as part of the same series in 2009,
so this is my second time to teach it. They say the second
time around is sweeter than the first, and I'm hoping
that that is the case here.
I
do want to give you a little bit of background about who
I am in case you're not familiar with me. I have been
in the industry working and playing for more than eight
years now. About three years ago I started an online kit
club and have most recently begun to manufacture my own
products, actually for the past two years now, under the
name Jenni Bowlin Studio. Just to look at my logo you
can see that I have a love of everything vintage. In fact,
just because I've got nothing better to do with my time
it seems, I am also a novice antique dealer on the side
so I stay pretty busy. This brings me back to my Big Picture
class, if you love the old and the shabby you will feel
right at home. We will be taking field trips during the
course of the 12 weeks to my favorite sources of inspiration,
flea markets and antique shops, but if you don't like
the old and the shabby, I promise to reform you
no
I'm just kidding, but I do promise that you will learn
a little bit about finding inspiration and how to apply
it effectively toward your creative work, towards everything
you do, and not just scrapbooking. I feel like you do
need to know that with this class whereas you will see
a strong influence of scrapbooking and traditional scrapbooking
and you will see some layouts, it really is more about
finding inspiration and how to use old and shabby and
fun items with history and creative work in general. I
would call it maybe more "lifestyle" crafting.
So
enough said, right? I hope you're game. I'm truly excited
to get to know everyone and to have this opportunity to
share what I love so much with you.
