About
Tena Sprenger...
BPC:
What do we need to know about you?
TS: I am to married Mike, the man who supports my extreme
paper product addiction!! I have two wonderful children: Michael
is twelve and Alyssa is sixteen. I have lived in Arizona for
the last 30 years. I have been hooked on scrapbooking for
almost 10 years now and have enjoyed teaching for the last
five. When I am not making a mess in my scrapbook room or
driving my kids somewhere, I love to read a good book or attend
my tap dance class.
BPC:
What do you like about your friends?
TS: I think the thing I like most about my friends is that
they make me laugh, and they are always there, whether it
is 6:00 in the morning or midnight. My good friends know I
am a little goofy, sometimes disorganized and always overbooked
- and love me anyways!
BPC:
Where do you hope to go?
TS: I would love to travel outside the United States more;
it has always been a dream of mine to go to Australia, Italy
and France. I have a couple of teaching trips that will take
me outside the country this year which I am pretty excited
about, but I would love to travel to a European country with
my family; I think that would be fabulous!
BPC:
What do you need every day?
TS: To really be in my zone, I need about 6 hours of sleep
and one sugar-free Red Bull drink to jumpstart me in the morning.
From there, a good day consists of having a balance of time
with my kids and husband so I stay plugged into their daily
lives, then at least an hour to myself to do something that
charges me up, whether it is going to dance class, reading
a book, creating art, or cleaning out a closet that is been
driving me crazy!
BPC:
What's your favorite line?
TS: This is a hard question
I don't really
have a favorite line, but I LOVE the Star Wars series of movies,
and my husband and I have been known to sneak up on my son
and say in a very deep mechanical voice: " Luke, I am
your Father!" I know we are weird!
BPC:
Where do you wish you could shop?
TS: I love shopping for hidden treasure: I wish had the time
to travel to all the most fabulous flea markets in the United
States and Europe and dig for funky junky finds to my hearts
content! I am hoping that this year I will make it to the
Rose Bowl Flea Market in Los Angeles!
BPC:
What do you believe in?
TS: I believe that our own attitudes shape our destiny and
daily happiness to a large degree. Facing life with a positive
outlook and looking for the good in others as well as ourselves
makes for a happier life. Dream big, plan well, work hard,
smile a lot, and lots of good things will happen.
BPC:
If you could take only one thing before you left the planet,
what would you take?
TS: My scrapbooks. I never want to forget the memories, photos
and stories saved in those books
they are my history.
BPC:
Why do you like teaching at Big Picture Classes?
TS: I enjoy teaching because I enjoy connecting with people
that have the same passions that I do. I love sharing creative
ways to preserve memories, and the creative exchange of ideas
that always goes on in a class!
