About Tami
Tami Morrison is a mom of four with a messy house and neat ideas. She holds the coveted Funnest Scrapbooker Ever title from Simple Scrapbooks Magazine, as well as a child development degree. Teaching preschool for 15 years and working as a children's party planner made her an expert in concocting fun, pulling a quick activity out of her hat, and stain removal. When she's not driving kids around, being a creative dynamo, or volunteering at the elementary school, she enjoys reading, hiking, snapping photos with her iPhone, and relaxing at the beach.

Her Favorite Quote
"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop to look around every once in a while you might miss it."
-Ferris Bueller

Tami Answers the Five W's
Actually there are ten W's and two H's, but who's counting?

Who are you? I am a Family Manager, creativity junkie, memory keeper, crafter, writer, instructor, trend-spotter, and lover of English toffee, books, and color.

Who has inspired you to be who you are? One key influence early on was a college professor who had dabbled in a crazy array of professions over the years...everything from fashion buyer to truck driver. She helped me realize that I didn't have to be just one thing for my whole life; that I could seize opportunities, follow interests, and try new things even when they weren't what I had planned or trained for.

What do you believe with all of your heart? Life is a choose-your-own-adventure!

What do you teach, write, blog, and talk incessantly about? Real life, my kids, creativity, phone photography.

When did you get your start? I've been paper crafting ever since I learned to work a pencil, a pair of scissors, and a bottle of glue. I started scrapbooking in 1998.

When did you know that this was your path? Not until I was on it!

Where is your favorite place on earth? The beach...specifically Hanalei Bay on Kauai, but any beach will do.

Where do you go to be inspired? To my photos, the mall, a class, a hiking trail, a coffee shop, the internet, the new arrivals section of a scrapbook store...inspiration is everywhere and I actually have more ideas than I know what to do with.

Why are you here at BPC? I love, love, love the BPC philosophy and accessibility. It is a privilege to be able to connect and share with students from all over the world.

Why do you love your life? I'm not gonna lie. Sometimes my life is overwhelming, or challenging, or just really loud and messy. But it's also remarkable, and rewarding, and full of blessings. I love that I have a sense of humor to deal with the crap and a sense of gratitude for the rest, and that I get to be here in this particular moment in time, doing what I enjoy.

How do you do everything you do? Lots and lots of coffee, and a willingness to let the non-essential things slide.

How can we learn more about you? Meet me for coffee and I'll tell you everything you want to know! Or if that doesn't work for you, follow me on Facebook and Twitter.

A Favorite Photo

I love the juxtaposition of soft, dreamy mood, and vibrant colors captured in this photo of my youngest taking an afternoon walk in the rain.

A Favorite Project

One of my favorite types of pages to make is the kind that captures trivial, everyday stuff like favorite things on a particular day. It's fun to look back and see how those things you take for granted as being a constant have changed...or stayed the same.
