I'am Sharon and from the Island of Maui. I just signed up for the class with Stacy. I thought I would drop a line to introduce myself. I have four children all of age and three on there own. My youngest 18 yo. still lives at home with me. I have three grandchildren the oldest 10 yo. and the youngest 1 yo. I want to start a scrapbook for my youngest grandson to past on to him someday. I love to scrapbook and make cards. I can't wait to start my class with Stacy. Has anyone taken a class with her? I wk pt as a nurse and babysit my my grandson three days a week, so I have lots and lots of photo of him. But what to do with them all. Kind of overwhemled. Where do I start. I have three scrapbooks I started for him but not sure which pictures to put in which albumn. Any suggestions. Mahalo Sharon
Well I love Stacy and all she does - you'll have fun in anything she teaches. :)
As for getting started, I'd say just take it one story/memory/group of photos at a time and enjoy the process with each. Don't worry about getting it all just right or going in order even - just enjoy this fabuluos hobby!!
You'll love your class with Stacy - and really every class here at BPS is bound to be great! The best suggestion I was ever given [and I started scrapping waaaaaaaay back in the 90s!] was that I never have to feel the pressure to put every single photo in a scrapbook - instead pick out the one to 10 [or so!] that tells the story you want to tell - whether it's an event, a season, a holiday, or just how you felt about your grandson during that time period. Capture the memories! And have fun!
Welcome to BPS! I'm so glad you are here and so glad you've registered for the Start Here with *me* -- cool. My hope is that this introductory class will ground you in our (BPS) guilt-free philosophy and help you START with a few of those pictures you have -- all you really need to do is start. We'll help you with the rest.
