My name is Kris and I live in Texas. I'm not a Texan, I just live here. I'm really a gypsy person who has spent her whole life moving. This may be why I love photography.

I am mom to two teenage boys who keep me busy and wife to a man who keeps me sane. He's not "the artsy type", but he does his best to understand why I love to shoot photos. God love him.

I've played with photography on and off for many years. Took me a while to go digital since I was such a darkroom junkie (nothing like the smell of fixer in the morning...), so I'm still learning in the digital darkroom. I love shooting still life, black and white, landscapes and kids. Well, not shooting kids, but you know what I mean. :)

I love it when the light is right and the moment is perfect. Of course, those are few and far between and frequently in the chaos of daily life I often say, "Oh I wish I could shoot that." DH (darling husband) will say, "Take a mental picture." These are easy to Photoshop, but I have yet to figure out how to print them.

I don't blog. I run and bike and walk my dog and make beaded jewelry and go to track meets and band events and book club... I couldn't handle the pressure of blogging. It's all I can do to update a Facebook status. Maybe someday when I retire...

All kidding aside, I'm truly looking forward to shooting with you all.
