Hi! I'm Karen, a retired OBGYN physician (I do a few hours a month as a volunteer clinical faculty Professor at UCDavis) and I live in Sacramento, CA with my husband Cal. We have 7 grown sons and the 5 best grandchildren in the world!I love scrapbooking, reading, knitting, needlepoint, genealogy, travel, surfing the internet and altered art.

I'm disabled (with a neck problem that affects my arms with strength and pain). That impacts how and how much I accomplish. I try to have a good attitude and think lemonade not lemons! A good sense of humor helps a lot! I especially try not to take myself too seriously! I love life and love the BigPicture community. Being the April 2010 Student of The Month here at Big Picture was a thrill! Love to hear from my classmates and teachers.
