TOP TEN THINGS ABOUT ME (Linda, known as Lin):

1.  I am a retired elementary teacher...LOVED my job, but glad to have time for hobbies at last!

2.  I was born in Ohio and have lived in Florida, Indiana, and New Jersey before settling in Michigan where I live now.

3.  I have been married to the love of my life for 44 years (making me one of the senior members of this group (how did THAT happen??!) and we have two grown children who are the love of both of our lives.

4.  I have three standard poodles, a sweet cat, and a cockatiel named Lucy...for many years, I raised and rehabilitated orphaned and injured wildlife with my family (Hmm-m...it figures that our son and our daughter are board certified veterinary surgeons now, doesn't it?)

5.  My two favorite places in the world are St. John, VI and New Zealand...mmm-m, I love that wonderful country!  Seattle and Vancouver are close on their heels because our children live there.

6.  I have never been bored for one minute in my retirement...I love photography, scrapbooking, gardening, riding, swimming, hiking, snorkeling, cooking, and being outside under a sunlit sky discovering surprises in nature.

7.  I love to laugh and I try to see the cup as half full...I have a good sense of humor but my family doesn't always think my jokes are that funny...they love me anyway!

8.  I had a Canon Rebel XTi and have just upgraded to a Canon 7D ... I have everything to learn still about my new camera...I have PSE but one of my shortcomings is thinking I can't undertand technology and feeling defeated before I even try...note to self:  get over it!!!

9.   Above all else, I value trust and sincerety and strength of character in myself and my friends...

10.  I treasure every minute of my life and health and I honor, above all else, the beauty of the normal day...
