Challenges
Grab
a camera, any camera, and join Elizabeth Dillow on
a 4-week journey that will transform your photographs
for good. No matter how skilled (or unskilled) you
are as a photographer, you can learn to take pictures
that truly capture the magic of your memories. If
you're tired of taking photos that never measure up
to the scenes you see in your head, then this is the
class for you.
Photo
Challenges teaches you how to use your eye, not
your equipment*, when capturing magical moments through
your lens. It actively challenges you to dig deeper
and exercise creativity every time you pick up a camera.
With
Elizabeth as your guide, you'll take on twelve distinct
challenges that are designed to:
-
teach
you the art of visual storytelling
-
build
your confidence as a photographer
-
show
you the big difference small adjustments can make
-
reset
your photographer's eye
-
challenge
and inspire you long after the class comes to a
close!
-
12 emails that introduce each design challenge and remind
you to check out the new materials in the classroom
-
Colorful
instructional handouts packed with ideas to tackle each
challenge
-
Voice messages available as streaming audio, downloadable
MP3 files and transcripts
-

Note : |
A
camera is required for this class, however it may be
any camera (or combination of cameras) at alla
phone camera, a professional DSLR, or anything in between.
Attention to basic photography techniques will be included,
but because the challenges focus first on choice of
subject matter and composition, technical skill won't
be the primary focus of any of the challenges. All camerasand
skill levels-are welcome!
Even
though Photo Challenges will focus first and
foremost on choice of subject matter and composition,
no photography workshop worth its salt can underestimate
the value of knowing where your camera manual isand
maybe even having it handy to crack open. I encourage
class members to discuss class challenges as much
as possible, and it would be silly not to utilize
the message board for questions related to technical
know-how. Being able to refer to your camera's manual
will help make the most of our time together as we
work toward the goal of more interesting and engaging
photographs to use on scrapbook pages!
