Now You See It, Now You Don't
You
don't have to be a magician to learn a few scrapbooking
magic tricks! You don't have to be a trained graphic designer
to use proven principles of design on your scrapbook pages,
either. In this class, you'll discover how to use a grid
structure to create beautiful pages for any scrapbooking
style. You'll gain an understanding of how to spot grids
(even the ones that seem invisible!) and how to adapt them
as a foundation for photos, product, or white space. You'll
never look at a blank piece of cardstock the same way again!
About
Wendy:
Wendy Smedley is a pioneer in the scrapbooking industry
and has had the opportunity to author a handful of books
about scrapbooking, including the bestseller The
Organized and Inspired Scrapbooker. Her latest
book, Start
Scrapbooking is geared towards the everyday
scrapbooker. As a former editor for a scrapbooking magazine,
she has looked at thousands of layouts made by scrapbookers
all over the world and developed content for hundreds
of thousands to be inspired by. That opportunity has
given her a unique understanding of what scrapbookers
look for and need to complete projects they feel good
about. Her content is very doable and geared towards
the everyday scrapbooker. She wants to leave you feeling
empowered and capable. |
About
Elizabeth:
Elizabeth Dillow is passionate about the creative process
of design-and believes that without it, it's hard to
sustain a lifelong love of scrapbooking. A veteran teacher
at Big Picture Classes, she is also the author of The
Scrapbooker's Almanac, member of the inspiration
collective at Write.Click.Scrapbook.and
an avid photographer and blogger. She taught her first
photography workshop in 2002, and continues to teach
photography, inspiration, and design classes throughout
the U.S. She works to blend her love of graphic design
and straight lines with messy art supplies on a regular
basis-but admires and encourages all types of scrapbooking
styles! |

end of class, you will have examined how to build grid layouts
on a grid foundation, learned how to find and use your center
point, and played with asymmetrical and symmetrical designs.

Self-Paced Projects are instant download classes that
allow you to participate at BPC anytime! These classes
are different from our interactive workshops. There
are no starting or ending dates -- you may enroll at
any time. This flexibility also means, that there will
not be the level of teacher and student interaction
that we enjoy in our workshops. You will receive handouts
to print and an audio file to listen to, but there are
typically no message boards or chats.
