When You Don't Have a Photo

Have you heard that scrapbooking = photos + words? But what do you do if you don't have a photo? Should all of those stories be left untold? Of course not! In this class, you will explore five different techniques to overcome the "no photo" problem and learn how to document these special stories. Scrapbooking is a way to tell your stories and to be creative, and you don't necessarily need a photo to do that!

Janet loves stories, especially her own. She has always been passionate about journaling and recording her thoughts and dreams, especially with digital scrapbooking. She has been published in many of the major scrapbooking magazines, awarded Best of Show by Photoshop Elements Magazine, and been a Top 10 finalist for the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbooker of the Year award. She is the founder and former owner of The Daily Digi and has been selling digital scrapbooking templates for over four years.

In taking this class, Janet will help you learn to see the value in all stories, even those that you don't have photos for. By thinking "outside the box" and trying new techniques, you will end up with important stories - stories that might have otherwise been left untold — filling the pages of your albums. Some of the most important moments of your life aren't captured in a photograph…but don't leave them out!

A Note from Janet:
Although I love the look and feel of paper scrapbooking (and am in awe of those who do it well!), living overseas and having lots of little ones around has always made it prohibitive. In May of 2005, I discovered digital scrapbooking and instantly knew it was for me. In the six years that I have been digital scrapbooking, I have completed over 1200 pages and had some of the most amazing experiences! As you can see, I am passionate about storytelling and I love nothing more than to help others tell their own stories! Paper or digital, it doesn't matter. As long as stories are told and memories preserved, I am happy!

Important information about Self-Paced Projects at Big Picture Classes!
Self-Paced Projects are instant download classes that allow you to participate at BPC anytime! These classes are different from our interactive workshops. There are no starting or ending dates -- you may enroll at any time. This flexibility also means, that there will not be the level of teacher and student interaction that we enjoy in our workshops. You will receive handouts to print and an audio file to listen to, but there are typically no message boards or chats.

Even though these classes offer less interaction, you are not alone! If you need help, email us at admin@bigpictureclasses.com. Enjoy!
