Last
year at Big Picture Classes, Cathy Zielske and many BPC
members started a little self-care revolution. Why was
it revolutionary? It was all about putting yourself first
in the name of better health and overall fitness, and this
year, Cathy's back with an inspired renewal to the process.
Is
this your year to finally make a commitment to better health
and fitness? Have you already made the commitment,
but find yourself lacking in motivation? Or does the idea
of making changes that involve sweating and eating less
sugar freak you out beyond measure?
NOTE
FROM CATHY:
I'm Cathy Zielske, and for three years now I've been
making changes both large and small to my lifestyle
in an effort to do two things: Move More and
Eat Well. I've documented this journey publicly
and found that the support and feedback from my online
community of blog readers and students has been a
key factor in staying the course as I continue my
goals of making better choices for a healthier lifestyle.
I've had rousing successes and crushing failures,
and everything in between. The journey to making real
and lasting changes is one without a final destination.
It's an endeavor that's all about the process. And
when you have a community of people supporting you,
your factor for potential success is undeniably higher.
In
2013, I invite you to join me for a year of Moving
More and Eating Well. I'm calling it Move
More, Eat Well 2.0. I'm neither a personal trainer
nor a licensed nutritionist. But what I am is a woman,
a wife and a mother who, along with all the responsibilities
that come with those respective roles, strives every
day to find the time to make choices that will result
in a healthier, happier, stronger me. And heck, if
it makes me a few pounds lighter, all the better.
We'll
spend the year together, checking in once monthly
where you'll get a message from me. It could be a
message of inspiration; it could be a message full
of laments over muffin tops; it could be a simple
reflection on how one month can make all the difference
in the world. Whatever the case, I'll share my personal
ebb and flow with you each month, as we all go through
the process together, hoping to give you a little
burst of inspiration for your journey.
THE
PROJECT
In MMEW 2.0 you will be creating a simple 8 1/2" x
11" album to document the journey. There is incredible
power in writing about the process of trying to make changes
in your life. Each month, you'll create a layout using class
templates and downloadable elements.
Cathy
will be encouraging you to write every month and she will
be sharing her own album pages with you throughout class.
This class will also build a community of women (and possibly
a few men) supporting one another, sharing the highs, lows
and in-betweens of making real and lasting changes.
And
when someone falls off the horse of health and fitness (and
even Cathy has had her share of falls over the past few
years), we'll dust ourselves off and get back on and ride.
Are you with us?
