After 25 years as a pack-a-day smoker and non-exerciser,
Cathy Zielske decided something had to change.
She kicked the smoking habit at age 40, but still
struggled with food and fitness. Finally, in January
2010, she went from being a couch potato to running
5 miles with ease in about one year's time. Since
then, she has fallen off track, gotten back on,
and fallen off again, realizing that she needs
an approach that will truly work to keep her strong
and healthy, not just thin and able to run like
the wind. While she's not a personal trainer or
nutritionist, she's a motivator who's on a constant
journey to feeling healthier and finding ways
to make it stick, long term.
