iscrap
with Kim Klassen
We don’t really like corporate-sounding resumes. In fact, we think they often fall short of demonstrating someone’s overall qualifications. We do want you to know and feel comfortable with our team at Big Picture Classes, and that’s why we’re providing you this iscrap moment with Kim Klassen. |
i was … a folk artist and primitive painter. I suppose I still am. But my passion is really all about photography, textures and sharing it with the world.
i am … a bit of a nag … at least that’s what my kids tell me. But I can’t help myself. It’s who I am. ‘sigh’
i think … I’m kinda cool, but my kids think I’m a dork. It’s funny how that works.
i wonder … if I will ever feel my age. I still feel like i’m 25, ‘cept much wiser.
i wish … I could stay 43 forever. I love this part of my life. It feels just right.
i save … pretty much every scrap of paper I have left over when making my mixed media textures.
i always … walk my dog.....even when it’s 40 below. I’m serious. I can count on one hand the days I’ve missed over 15 years I’ve had a puppy dog.
i can’t imagine … what I did before I got my iMac. It’s heavenly... life changing even.
i believe … everyone has an inner artist.... they just have to let it out.
i promise … I’m not lying about walking my dog when it’s -40. It really gets that cold here!
i love … my Nikon....my iMac, Photoshop and textures... and of course...I love my family and my sweet goldendoodle Ben... very much. Oh and I love....anything old and worn tattered and torn.... happy, contented ‘sigh’.
i scrap … but not the scrap you are thinking of... I scrap pieces of torn paper, and maps, receipts and tissue....all on canvas to make beautiful layered textures.
i can’t wait to see you in class!
