Hello,
my name is Joey Manwarren.
I am 38
years old. I am the mother of three young children, all of
whom I homeschool. I have been married to Brent, the love
of my life, for 15 years. I have a degree in Elementary Education,
and I am addicted to Thin Mint cookies.
I have
been digital scrapbooking for over five years. I tried my
hand at paper scrapping for several years before becoming
obsessed with digi.
I started
scrapping because, like most scrappers, I want to remember
and record my family's life events, both big & small.
I generally
scrapbook daily, and I find the time to scrap by first completing
all my other motherly/life duties. I prefer to scrap guilt-free
and not worry about what I should be doing instead of scrapping.
Scrapping is my reward at the end of a hard day's work!
I find
that I am most often inspired to make a page when a small
life moment needs to be recorded. Over the years, I have realized
that my family and I tend to cherish the little moments in
life. The small moments tend to hold the biggest life lessons.
One of
my go-to techniques is keeping things simple. There are times
when I like to get heavy-handed with embellishments, but most
of the time I only add embellishments that help tell my story.
I could
NOT scrapbook without the following products/tools:
My camera
My computer & Photoshop
Chipboard alphas
Drop shadows
Stitching
What
was the last page you created about? The last page I created
was a page about my son & husband's trip to watch the
University of Kansas play basketball. This page is a highlight
page for my photo of the day book.
How
and where do you store/display your completed pages? Since
I am a digi scrapper, I tend to print all of my books in a
12" x 12" bound book.
Where
do you shop for scrapbooking supplies? Most of my digi
supplies come from Designer Digitals or Anna Aspnes.
What
page size do you generally scrap? I generally scrap 12"
x 12".
If
you had to stick to three fonts for the rest of your life,
what would they be? CK Marissa (handwriting font), American
Typewriter and Century Gothic.
