Petra, I like how the top white of the smaller photo makes the journaling block and the photo look like one long column. I think when I use this adaptation again I will be looking for another "white-topped" photograph.

Yep, I'm borrowing this too! I read the journaling aloud to my husband--that focal photo just sucked me right in! Great layout.

Beautiful background paper! I especially like the airy feel of all the elements on the white mat. I myself might have been tempted to add outlines to the pictures, but now I see that the way you did it creates more unity.

Ditto sharmanscraps comment - the journaling tells us a great deal about your trip. The background paper lends an air of mystery to the experience. I also like the black line on the first mat.
