A Beginner's Guide to Wet Felting
Have you ever felt like trying it? Felting that is! Felting is a hands-on, all ages, colorful, creative treat for the senses and Emily and Nicole are going to show you just how it is done! Wet felting is the art of taking soft, natural wool (often called roving), and combining it with water and agitation to form endless options of texture and shape.
Nicole Lawrence is a master of felting, with over 15 years of experience playing around with wool. She is a true ‘Lebenskuenstler’ – or, artist of life – and can be found creating things with wool and other nature inspired supplies in her straw bale studio she shares with her musician husband and two sons. Nicole is excited to bring her love and knowledge of felting to you here at BPC!
Emily Falconbridge is a lover of arty-mess-making and is newly addicted to felting - thanks to Nicole! She lives surrounded by piles of wool, fabric, paint and paper-y things ready to create all sorts of fun things along with her three little beansprouts. Emily is enthusiastic about sharing her felting journey with you and making lovely, colorful things together during this three-week class.
