iscrap
with Courtney Walsh
We don't
really like corporate-sounding resumes. In fact, we think
they fall short of demonstrating someone's overall qualifications, and that's
why we're providing you this iscrap moment
with
Courtney Walsh.

i was
an actor, back in the day, a journalist after that.
i am
the wife of a children's pastor, mommy to three little rugrats,
a novelist, an old soul, a movie lover, a homebody and a coffee-addicted
creative.
i think
everyone is creative. Even people who say they aren't. I think it's
how God made us. To stretch our creative wings. Like Picasso said,
"All children are artists. The problem is how to remain one
once he grows up."
i wonder
why people are mean to each other. Why we don't first
choose to uplift and encourage?
i wish
we
could create without judgment-from ourselves and from others!
i save
almost everything! Especially pictures. I will never throw away
a photo unless it's blurry or shows me with a double chin.
i always
strive to learn new things. Especially in the realm of
art! There are so many mediums I've yet to try
I'm just getting
started!
i can't imagine
my life without God in it.
i believe
I am a happier person when I am actively creative. Actively,
meaning
I have a purpose to do it. When I don't, I notice
I am considerably crabbier.
i promise
To tell the truth. To be transparent. To be real
even
if it means someone will see my flaws!
i love
Starbucks White Chocolate Mochas. But then I looked up the calories,
had a heart attack knowing how many I've consumed in my life, and
had to give them up indefinitely. Sad, sad day.
i scrap
in spurts. And always by myself. I think my creativity disappears
in a crowd!
