Do
I have to wait five years
to clean out a storage binder and recycle the pages?
Of course not! You can "tidy" up your storage
binders wherever you feel like it.
Case
in Point: I spent a glorious day in Chicago with the editorial
team at Simple Scrapbooks (all part of a trade
show trip in 2005.)

I
created a scrapbook layout and a really cute mini-album
of the day, and even though I had a blast taking pictures
right and left. I know I am NOT going to scrapbook these
photos anytime soon. I pulled four pictures of my friend
Cathy. I'm tossing two and filing the others in my category
drawers. We took a spectacular architectural boat tour
down the Chicago River, which alone produced 35 great
photos. Because I still have so many and several of them
are pretty good, I'm putting them in my cold storage boxes.
Who knows I may want to use them again someday.
Note:
I tend to take lots of scenic pictures on vacation and
have decided to keep leftovers or duplicates separate
from the rest of my general cold storage. I designated
cold storage box #1 for "Vacation" It won't
be hard for me to remember where I can find Chicago pictures.
The
Take Away: You're in charge. You get to decide
how and when to carry out the details of this system.
The sooner you embrace this idea, the sooner you will
be able to maximize your time and productivity.
