What, that is crazy talk! Anyway, I am super excited to be working with a local lifestyle show, Studio 5, and bringing the Shoebox Challenge to photo keepers everywhere.

What is Project Shoebox?

Project Shoebox is the incentive you need to empty that shoebox of old photos. Heirloom photos to forgotten prints, everyone has photos to reclaim and rediscover. The Project Shoebox community, curated and hosted by Studio 5 contributor Wendy Smedley (that is me), is a safe place to learn how to archive and share photos, collect old stories, and organize treasured images in a safe place.

The Project Shoebox challenge is simple. Just scan one old photo. Then share it. Collect stories. And feel the satisfaction. You will have created a memory with a memory.

Wednesday, 1/31/, I will launch the challenge and share a handful of photos + scanning tips. You can participate by streaming the show live here, runs from 11:00 am-12:00 pm MST, or you can watch an archived version later in the day. Either way think about joining in and scanning your own photos.

In the meantime, below are a few favorite photos I rediscovered when scanning old photos from the 90's of my now 17 year-old twins, Jake and Nate.

I would frequently find Jake and Nate in the same bed together, funny thing is the blanket is Nathan's and Jake is the one who is using it.

Here I am with Jake and Nate at the Oakland Zoo soomtime in the late 90's. Wow, hard to believe I used to carry the two of them around all the time.

So what photos do you want to scan?

Your beautiful roelld flowers could be construed as adding to the basic layer unless you consider them as embellishments. It's a tricky one it's often safer to simply stamp when making a one layer card! It's very attractive though!ThanksChrissie Less is More

I love this challenge I am looking forward to looking at some old photos to choose one. I think I will look for something of my sister, she passed away 3 years ago yesterday. Will be a good exercise to bring back some great memories.

I remember the days of a baby on each hip. My twins (girls) are now 19 and in college!
