It's time for me to share another great layout from the BPC Student Gallery with you! I saw this layout by Ashli and I just LOVE her use of paint on her layout! (I must admit I'm scared to use paint on my layouts, but now I'm inspired!).
Here's what Ashli had to say about this layout:
I am having the best time in May Flaum's Field Guide class! I am new to BPC with this course and it has far exceeded my expectations! I did this layout for week 3 of our class, which focuses on paint. I chose this sweet photo of my 95 year old grandmother following behind two of my girls who are holding their grandfather's hand. A wonderful moment showing stages of life in the generations. The papers are from the My Mind's Eye Bright Side collection and I love how they pull in the colors in the photo.
I wanted to echo the chevron pattern in one of the papers, but I don't have a chevron stamp. So sad. What's a crafty girl to do? Improvise! I cut a scrap piece of cardboard, bent it into a point and got stampy with some paint. Once the paint was dry, I misted over the area to pull out the design a bit more. It is so fun playing with different mediums and techniques! Come see more at www.purplemailbox.com !
I'm really eiojynng the design and layout of your website. It's a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more pleasant for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a developer to create your theme? Superb work!
