Blog!! Rather excited about this chance as the team behind BPS to keep you posted on what's coming up and going down.
For example, betcha didn't know ...
1. Emily Falconbridge is having a baby on Monday (but still somehow turned in her brand new Got Paint workshop this weekend) Look for this free-spirited and artsy workshop this fall!
2. The ever-adorable Georgana Hall (did you know we are cousins removed a couple of times?)
has a new workshop, All About Family coming up and it's so very "BIG picture." Each of the four weeks features a family activity (something to do together) and a project connected to it.
Week one is an adorable home decor project, "FAMILY" wood letters, that you create after planning a pizza and picture-taking activity with your family -- registered students receive the wood letters mailed directly to them (huge bonus) and then you of course will cover yours in colors that coordinate with the room you'll display them in. There are three additional activities and projects too!
3. I had two very fun conversations this week about brand new proposals. Mandy Douglas (graphic designer at American Crafts) and I chatted about a four week workshop for early next year called "Clean Up Your Scrapbooking," and Tasra Dawson, author of Real Women Scrap got the "green light" on her six-week workshop that will include her book -- also coming early next year.
3. It's probably not fair (I tell my kids all the time that life isn't fair -- that would be boring!) but .. I've already started taking photos for Lisa Cohen's class, Daily Essentials. Since I get to see our workshops in development, I often get a jump-start. This will be my first foray into hybrid scrapping and I'm just kind of tickled about that. Tickled that I get to think about and photograph the products and rituals that keep me going. Great grandma couldn't even conceive of an automatic dishwasher and now I've got these ...
Just in case you haven't yet discovered these (portion-control for your dishwaser) you need to know that I think "I love these" every time I start my dishwasher, which these days is sometimes twice a day!!
Very much a daily essential.
and finally, how about an official bps "did you know?" where we get to highlight some little fact about one of our teachers. I love working this women and learning more about them and their lives, so here's our first ...
