A beautiful place could be

  • cabin in the woods
  • your flower patch

  • the outside of your home
  • commemorative statues or monuments
  • a vegetable or flower garden
  • water fountain
  • favorite park
  • rusty train station

It was just a view from a house we visited to have a pasta making class, but what a view!  I love that it is SO different to our home in Australia, so green and dotted with really old stone villas. Makes me happy every time I look at it.

The Volcano Arenal was truly one of the best places I've ever been.  I loved being surrounded by the rainforest.  There is something magical about a constant rainfall and beautiful colors that surround you.

There is nothing more beautiful and peaceful than coming down on the bayfront..When you live in our city, you are close to water, no matter what part of the city.  My dad and I came here from the time I was three or four years old .  We watched the sailboat races, fed the sea gulls and just talked.  I come here when I need to clear my mind.  This is where my memories are, this is where my heart is and this is will be my resting place someday.  My photos do not do it justice.

This is a beautiful shot of Mount Rainier from my hometown, Olympia, Washington.  I love the colors of the snow on the mountain and how it differs in the light and shadow.

This simple snowy pastoral scene taken in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park in Scotland where we now live in December 2010. I love the black faced sheep in the foreground contrasting with the snowy mound of Conic Hill rising above the mist in the background.

These are so beautiful every year.  They greet our guests from the front garden patch along our sidewalk.  I love them because they are so big and bold and don't flop over like the more common varieties of peonies.
