  • Wednesday: Reading and relaxing.
  • Thursday: A day of "almost" no meetings.
  • Friday: Getting to stay up late and create.
  • Saturday: Peaceful, fun, and unplanned family time.

Make sure to enter the Pink Paislee  product giveaway inside the classroom (you can still register here)

Class Giveaway: Book of Why

About the Class:  Breathe. I need to step back and remember why I've made the choices I've made: like how one hug from my son can melt away any pain I feel inside; how my husband's hugs calm my soul; how doing art heals me and gives me peace.

That's exactly why I made The Book of Why. This little book holds all my whys. Next time I have a weak moment I can just walk over to my book and remember.

How to Enter: Leave a comment on the blog and tell us what motivates your to scrapbook. Giveaway closes 8/24 at 9:00 am PST.

It's a creative outlet for me!
Posted By gypsylcm  |  August 27, 2011 at 02:12 AM

It started with my first DGS, a newborn - you take 1,000's of photo. With a 2nd DGS born I have even more photo opportunities. Family and pets are my main inspiration.

Friends, memories, and shopping...that's what inspires me to scrapbook.

Scrapping is a creative outlet for me. I love crafting and this enables me to craft and preserve memories at the same time.

I'm basically an arty, crafty person. I've always done something art related. I started scrapping when I lost my furry best mate too early as I wanted him to be with me in some way & now it's spilled out into obsession & nothing is sacred. Thanks for chance to win

There must be a creative gene inside me that drives me to be crafty. I'm happy to have found a craft that is also valuable to my family's history

I am motivated when I look through my past scrapbooks and remember things that I had forgotten.
Posted By AlisonL  |  August 24, 2011 at 11:59 AM

I like to scrapbook anything that I enjoy. Anything meaningful or extraordinary in my life. I want to remember these things and have fun documenting them :)
Posted By MadeByKarla  |  August 24, 2011 at 08:55 AM

I'm a writer, so scrapbooking is a way to begin exploring story ideas.
Posted By Azika  |  August 24, 2011 at 08:08 AM

I scrapbook to preserve my memories and my stories.

I want to leave a memory for my son. All of my families pictures were lost during a move a few years ago. I am determined to get my pictures out of boxes and into albums so they don't get put in garbage bags and get thrown away by accident.

This sounds like a wonderful class! I'm motivated by my two little boys!
Posted By jennybean  |  August 24, 2011 at 05:36 AM

My photos generally motivate me - sometimes I think of a story I want to tell and then try to find a photo.

I get inspired by all the creative people and projects I see on-line. Then I love to use colorful paper and materials to document my family's memories. It's very satisfying to create something.

I don't scrapbook exactly; I do mixed media collages and assemblages that meet the same need for me. They make me happy! edie

These classes get me going, to scrapbook the pages I want to, but don't always make time to. I love the creativity of scrapbooking and the finished result of having fun, memory saving pages to look at.

I like to document my blessings. Scrapbooking helps me to see all of the good (and not so good) in my life that make me, me.
Posted By LaFaunB  |  August 23, 2011 at 10:34 PM

Life motivates me to scrapbook! My kids say something cute or funny, we go and do something fun, I see a color combo that strikes me. The need to create with glue and paper takes over and the stress disappears! I shutter to think of the person I would be if I weren't a scrapbooker!!!
Posted By kmhunt  |  August 23, 2011 at 10:15 PM

Scrapbooking combines so many things I love. Art & design, writing, photography and memory keeping. I'm just starting to get into the digi thing and it's a whole new fun dimension!!
Posted By gleestormont  |  August 23, 2011 at 09:53 PM

I was a rubber stamper first, but I was always giving away my "art." Since I also love taking pictures, a friend convinced my that I could use all my stamping supplies, and my photos to make scrapbooks. That was something like 16 years ago! Now I have a husband and two kids, and I am motivated by the desire to document our lives and remember little and big things.
