Hello,
my name is Autumn Baldwin.
I am 34
years old and married with five kids.
I have
been scrapbooking for about nine years.
I started
because I had to spend two months in the hospital when I was
pregnant with my twins and scrapbooking was a great way to
pass the time. By the time I got home I was hooked.
I generally
scrapbook in spurts (my husband says I binge scrapbook), so
maybe I'll scrapbook every day for a week, and then not scrapbook
at all for two weeks after that. I find the time by doing
all my housework/errands/etc. while my little kids are awake,
and saving their naptime for my hobbies.
I find
I am most often inspired to make a page because I have a story
I want to tell.
One of
my go-to techniques is: computer journaling/titles.
I could
NOT scrapbook without: my computer.
What
was the last page you created about? The fact that my
kids can eat a 40oz. box of Honey Nut Cheerios in less than
a week.
What
page size do you generally scrap? I always create 8 1/2"
x 11" pages. I love the graphic look of magazines, so
I prefer to stick with that look and size on my own pages.
Plus I find it more convenient to store layouts in any binder
I choose instead of finding 12" x 12" binders.
Do
you prefer single or double layouts, why? I do some of
both. I like the look of double layouts in my albums, and
I used to only do two pagers, but sometimes the story I want
to tell and the photos I want to use only warrant one page
- so I've decided either one is ok.
What
kind of camera do you use? Canon 50d.
What
photo software do your use? I generally do photo editing
in Photoshop Elements, but I also use iPhoto (on my Mac).
You can still do quite a lot of work on a photo with these
more basic programs.
