Now let's get creative with these products! BPC member, Emma (emma_kw) is joining us to share a two beautiful cards and a gorgeous layout with some very creative ideas!

Hi friends! I’m super excited to be today’s guest designer. I was really lucky to receive an amazing mix of goodies to play with!

The first thing that jumped out of me were the sticky notepads from American Crafts. Just like everyone else at the moment, I’m completely into the planner craze so I knew I wanted to use these there! I don’t exactly use my planner for planning – I put appointments and the like in but I also use it to summarize my days. Which is super helpful with Project Life (given I’m months behind!). Here’s a look at my planner.

As you can see I used the tags to track my “to-do” list and I’m also using them to record what smoothies I make each day. I like to just throw different fruit combo’s together then I forget which ones I actually liked, haha.

I also added a few of the Crate Paper embellishments to the page. I’m still figuring out how to make the planner “pretty” (some people I follow on IG have the most amazing planner pages!) so these were perfect for adding a little extra without being too bulky.

I also loved the little BPC veneer pieces I’d been sent, so I created a few of my own custom paper clips. Super easy to do - just picked a couple cold paper clips, added glue (from hot glue gun) on the back of the veneer and stuck them together. Couldn’t be simpler!

I also put together a scrapbook page. For my scrapbook page I used the washi strips as my starting point for the page – I love the colors!

To get the pattern section I just cut thin strips of white cardstock then stuck each washi strip onto that.

Then I cut each strip into thirds (I did this because I scrap 6x8 pages so the full strips were too big for my page)

Then it was just a matter of pushing them around on the page to find a pattern I liked!

I must confess that the stamp and stencil set had me a little worried. Not because I don’t find like them but because I am not a “messy” scrapper. I rarely stamp and use mists/paints even less so! But the beauty of something like this is that it challenges you to do things you usually wouldn’t!

So I decided to go with the stencil and create my own background pattern. For my project I wanted to stay fairly neutral so I used Mister Huey’s gold and blizzard.

Next up was what I think is the fun part – adding the embellishments! I added the other veneer clip, a shipping tag (from my stash) and another piece from Crate Paper Craft Market embellishments.

For my title, when using adhesive letter, I will usually stick them down on a clear ruler then I can move them around the page to see where I think they look better before I actually stick them down on the page (or the photo, in which case they become almost impossible to remove if I decide I don’t like it!).

And that’s it! Super easy page. I only added a few items outside of the goodies I had been sent to play with (tag, wooden peg, enamel dots and a word sticker) which I love!

Thanks so much having me here at Big Picture Classes! I hope you’ll find some inspiration in how I’ve used these products for both my planner and scrapbooking!
